What You don’t see from the road

Updated July 2, 2025: This page continues to received attention and raise important questions.

28Canon Escondido looks like many homes tucked into the hills of East Mountain and Sandia Park. But the reality behind this property is far from ordinary.

What happened here lingers in the walls, in the spirit of the place, and will almost surely reach whoever lives here next. It will endure. A house remembers.

At least one individual’s life quality and trajectory were intentionally and irrevocably altered at this house. The physical, psychological, and financial harm cannot be reversed. It is forever — especially for this person’s loved ones. What occurred here was not accidental. And it wasn’t isolated.

We believe this is a long-standing pattern that has likely impacted many people over many years.

In or about 2023, a tenant paid nearly $100,000 to lease the property for one year. He left within days, citing disturbing conditions. With the owner’s permission, he sublet the home to another couple — who also departed soon after, reportedly after discovering surveillance equipment in private areas of the home, recording their personal and intimate moments for the owner to see anytime they wanted.

According to court documents, when the original tenant requested a refund, the seller changed the locks and allegedly threatened to have him shot if he returned. The tenant later filed suit in Bernalillo County (Case No: D-202-CV-202300313). Public records confirm that the matter was settled out of court.

In a separate incident, another individual became the target of a calculated act of retaliation. His car — parked in another town, approximately 30 miles away — was vandalized. The perpetrator was arrested at the scene. Without prompting, he named the seller of 28 Canon Escondido out of millions of people as the person who hired him to carry it out.

These are just fragments. The pattern runs deeper, darker, and spans far more lives than those named here.

The harm didn’t end here

The Missing Truth

Multiple incidents tied to this property raise serious concerns. Reports describe environmental exposure, retaliation involving firearms, and credible accounts of someone being intentionally poisoned while staying in the home. Vehicles have been vandalized. Payments withheld. Tools taken. Workers have described being threatened when asking to be paid.

These are not minor grievances. In some cases, work was completed without compensation, opening the door to potential liens.

This is not just a colorful house. It is a site of ongoing conflict, unresolved harm, and apparent environmental hazards.

Some stories sell homes. Others bury them — and the people in them.
